Once we got to the top I was happy to be out of the car. I learned that James Lick the man who had the observatory named from is buried under the telescope. It was a 36-inch refracting telescope, and was the worlds largest at the time they made it. The way they got it up the mountain was with the use of horses and mules carrying wagons. I had hot chocolate to help me not throw up and we looked around. We could see many people biking or driving up the mountain. In the museum we could see some of the pictures the telescope took.
